World Soil Day 2018

The date of 5 December for World Soil Day – WSD was chosen because it corresponds with the official birthday of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand, who officially sanctioned the event. WSD is held annually on 5 December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and advocating for the sustainable management of soil resources.

In December 2018, NIDA Environment School has arranged exhibition and activities at out Bangkok campus including tree growing campaign, organic fertilizer use supporting. The campaign was cooperated by Royal Forestry Department and Land Development Department. Master students and Ph.D. students of our school joined to give knowledge on trees and organic fertilizers for exhibition visitors. Most of the visitors were students, researchers, lecturers and staffs both domestically and internationally.
